Helpful Exhibiting Hints
Obtain a pre-registration list from the association or show management company and make appointments with prospective customers.
Have two people working the booth for each 10x10 space.
Limit the number of brochures and product samples you distribute at the show. These items are expensive to ship and most buyers and show attendees will throw away the materials before returning home. This gives your sales team an additional reason to follow up after the show.
DO NOT eat, read or have chatty talk with your company employees during show hours. Focus on the buyers and attendees.
At the end of each exhibiting day, review your leads with your staff. Write
notes and key phrases on business cards to remind you of your customers'
needs and interests.
Most Las Vegas trade shows are business casual, preferably with matching company shirts.
Offer show specials with real value. Don't offer free shipping if you are currently offering your customers free shipping.
Promotional give away items only work if the item ties in with your sales message, product or service.
Obtain a post-show registration list from show management. FOLLOW UP, FOLLOW UP, FOLLOW UP!!
Target your trade show marketing efforts on quality, not on the quantity of buyers. Trade shows are now more focused on niche markets. Focus on the customers that are best suitable for your products and services.
